HISTORY KContinuedJ Marilyn Montgomery, Neil Armstrong, Barbara Long, and Freddy Hub- bard joined us in the fifth grade. So I guess we weren't the only ones who had to get used to the hard lessons. However, Miss Stevely was still our teacher so we seemed to understand them a little better. Mrs. Yvonne Wauben was in charge of the sixth grade and she had an awful time preparing us to o up stairs into the seventh grade. Our class meme Marilyn Manlt moved but Donna Gilmore, James Ritchie and Robert Konst didn't let our number decrease. Boy, what a time we had in the seventh grade! Every one was either late to class or else in the wrong room. The first few weeks were sure mixed up until we got used to where we belonged. Bernard Valenti moved and Jack R. Howell, Richard Parlette, Leroy McFarland, and Jack L. Hows ell were the new ones that now belonged to our grade. Our friend Marilyn Mault came back to join us in the eighth grade and we hope she stays this time, Phillip Morgan, Glenna.Wilson, and Gene Stevens also were new in our room. Gosh, I almost forgot one stu- dent who had moved away but finally came back. This happened tn be Bernard Valenti who was last but not least. Our home room teacher was a very nice teacher by the name of Mrs. Ada Aldrich. Freshman Initiationt Remember, class, how the girls had to wear long underwear and clod-hoppers and the boys had to wear girls' clo- thes and a lot of make up? It sure was a lot of fun although we were scared that the Seniors were going to hurt us on initiation night. Our home room teacher, Eugene Basinger, enjoyed looking at our clothes and we think he was a good sport as well as a good teacher. Here we were Sophomores already and we presented our first class play. The name of it was, NOff the Trackn and we had more enjoyment out of going to play practice than going to school. Two new members which joined us in the tenth praie were Jack Bair, and Dolores Ohr and Mrs. Cumming was also our new L'wc room teacher. Juniorsl My, that sounded Mlod to us because at last we were fin- ally going to get our class rinfs. Our teacher, Mrs. Alice Cox helped us Solve our prshhae which seemed so difficult at the time. Maybe some day we will be able to thank her for helping us. Cur eleventh grade ended with the Junior Senior Prom which was held at the Argonne Hotel. I think every one had a lovely time and will never forget it. Graduation is almost here and some of us are already wishing that we were only Freshmen. We have been trying to produce an annual with the help of Mrs. Dupler and thanks to her wc have. For twelve long years the following people have been going to school together: Jean Thomas, Jim Crouse, Ronny Spyker, and Betty Morris. A new pupil, Sharcm Brandon, who moved here from Central will-have the pleasure of gradu- ating with us. Mr. Durbin was our patient home room teacher and we ap- preciate it.
