CLASS HISTORY v Here it is, the end of another school year and it means graduation out of high school for the senior class. Just like all the rest of the high school grad- uates, we start reminiscing about the past years. One night I get very inquisitive and dug back twelve years. I thought perhaps the rest of m class- mates and the readers of our 1952 WLest we 'Forget' would he interested in what I found. Way back in 1950, nineteen students entered the Cridersville first grade. Frightenedt Yes, at 'least most of us were. But we had an understanding teacher, Miss Wanda Geist, who passed us into the second grade. This class was under the supervision of Mrs Ilo Harshman. In this grade, we added one to our class, Ronny Porter. Our teacher seemed to be just as patient, because at the end of IQUL we were another rung higher. In the third grade, we lost one of our starters, Charlene Beery, who moved to Lima and attended Roose- velt school. Miss Helen Hall was our teacher and we probably were beginning to drive her crazy, so she passed us on. At the beginning of our fourth year, we regained our loss. Charlene came back to our school, and was also being taught now by Miss Donna Jean Stevely. Under Mrs. Yvonne Wauben, who was our fifth grade instructor, we had one loss and one gain, which kept us even. Ronny Porter moved to Lima, and attended Jeffer- son school, and our gain was Bob Davis from Uniopolis. Still under the guidance of Mrs. Wauben in the sixth grade, we gained back our fifth grade loss. Ron moved back to our town. Our teacher must have had quite a struggle preparing us for iunior high. Oh boy! we had the time of our lives, going up- stairs and exchanging classes and teachers. Did we ever think we were something! Miss Ruth Hankish was our home room teacher and we also get three new stu- dents: Gay Keller from Elida, Dorothy Parker from Lima Washington, and Sam Howell from Shawnee. Miss Amy Armand was our eighth grade home room teacher and with the help of the rest of the teachers, she prepared us for our first year of high school. In the eighth grade, Helena Ritt from Perry and Dale Smith from Spencerville joined us, making our class a total of nineteen to enter high school.
