CLASS HISTORY A few hours ago while reminiscing I pondered upon the years that have gone. My thoughts immediately went back to that fall day: twelve years ago,'when twentyneight. perfectly strange students en- tered Cridersville scrooli At that r' 3 those twelve years seemed so long, and now looking back over timer seem only to have been yesterday. We entered the first grade with much eagerness, wondering what ever thin was about. Miss Ritchie latgv Mrs. Reichelderfer, was Y S D . r teacher. WM what a ,ainful wob she must have hadin That ear QU Y P c passed quickly and most of us were ready for an advancement to the second grade. Now, what will this year bring? The second grade proved to be loads of fun and each day brought new things. In fact a new teacher was in store for us. This was none other than Miss Headapoi . Entering the third grade was still better and we felt bigger and biggera Miss Hoadapole was still our teacher and oh yes, we have af new classmate. Don Hall from Rising Sun, entered our class to help make it more cheerful. g During the fourth and fifth grade, it was pretty much the same routine, a lot of fun, but uorf difficult of course. We hate an- other teacherg Mr. Strausburg, who at times was rather frightening but never really harmfula In our fifth grade we came to our pre- sent school building and that gave us something else to be proud bf. The sixth grade was a little more difficult to understand but with Mrs. Wauben at our side to guide us over the rough spots we managed and quite well too. Mr. Souders was in charge of the seventh grade and now we were really doing places. We were on the second floor and after all isn't that what we had always dreamed of? But suddenly we were whizze back on the first floor and our dreams were all shatteredl Wal , we made it to the eighth grade with Miss Beagle as our instructor, Near the end of school was that wonderful day of grad- uation. Uhg in September we would be freshman. l High school was so much fun, with the privilege of changing classes and a lot of different teachers. We certainly were adults now, we presented our first class play, NT.rgains in Haircutsu and how can we overlook that Freshman Intiation. It was a mixture of everything, including fun and the fact that we were all quite frightened of those mighty seniors. We earned our place in high school after that punishment. Gur Sophomore year brought us another student from Central High School, Jeanne Harshe. Entering our Junior year of school we were all thrills--just thinking of reception and various other events. This year brought us another new member, Maxine Werling from Blume High School. The class play presented was NThe Chintz Cottagen and it was quite suc- cessful. This brings us up to the present time 1947 when we arevall seniors: those that entered school together: Bill Crouse, Bob Bier- inger,.Jim Long, Ned Mowery, Olin Young, Marjorie Fogt, and Betty Miller and those who joined us later, Don Hall, Jeanne Harshe and Mamine Werling. Of course we're looking forward to thatfddyywhen we say good-bye to C. H. S. but each of us wonder what the new world holds in store for us and our classmates. This is the part- ing of the way for all of us and so in leaving we want to wish the best of success to those left at the good old schoolg also we'll betseeing you soon.
