Ronnie Boyd concentrates, in study hall, as he used a new desk. The addition of new equipment in the rear of the audi- torium accommodates study hall students. Newly equipped band trailer, new lapboards For the first time, the Crewe High School Band became a part of the school program. With the coming of the school year 1965-66, a rehearsal building was added, and band was offered to students daily during their school day. New music stands, and a storage place for musical instruments, uniforms, and mate- rials have encouraged and strengthened the band program in school. Mirrors, one of which is of full length, were placed in the girls' physical education room this year. Lack of room, due to an increased number of students, made it essential that all study halls be held in the auditorium. Last summer lapboards were placed on back of seats which were used as temporary desks. A new lighting system was also installed. The girls of the Ivy League set sparkled with the idea of new earrings for their pierced ears and with stockings and sweaters to match. The hair of both boys and girls became longer and straighter with the fad. Aluminum band trailer gleams with newness beside the Home Economics Cottage. Interior of band trailer is spacious and well equipped. Mrs. Roberts and band students enjoy their new facilities.

A college View-deck is available from the school board office. Up-to-date brochures have been added to the Career Exploratory Kit. Business school, technical school, and college catalogues are kept current in the Guidance Office, add interest and color to school life Instruction in the use of the View-deck is given to Barbara Hamner by Mrs. Wilson. The staff andfaculty of Crewe High School have made a study of themselves, of the school program, and of the facilities. In April, an evaluation team appointed by the State Depart- ment of Education studied these findings, rated the school, and reported their findings to the School Board, to the State Department, and to the Southern Association of Schools and Col- leges. For the first time in its history, Crewe High became integrated.
