after a slow start, which saw the thlnclads lose five of their first six meets, the harriers rallied to a five meet winning streak. coach jim tocko piloted the club to a 3-2 conference mark, which was good for third place. one of the highlights of the season was against st. thomas academy, when john cragg, gordy hawkins, tom spencer, and chuck sawyer tied for first. the team's top performer was john cragg, who won ten of eleven meets. in junior varsity action, cretin's harriers ran away with the conference title.
