VICE-PRESIDENT CHUCK REISCHEL The intense drive that characterized Chuck Reischel made him a virtual stick of dynamite. Respected by all for his high scholastic rank and his prowess on the football field, Chuck is ably suited for and worthy of the high position he holds. As a bulwark of the offensive and defensive lines of the football team, he helped Cretin extend its undefeated string by coming through with bone-crushing blocks and tackles. A scholar extraordinaire. Chuck ranked at the top of his class. a position obtained by hard work and resolute perseverance. During his four years at Cretin, Chuck has distinguished himself in many fields. He has been elected to class office three times, serving twice as secretary and this year as vice-president. Twice he was named to the National Honor Society. ln his senior year, he was chosen Cadet Colonel. These honors were not undeservedg they were earned by dedicated service to his class and to his school. Chuckis opinion on various class policies and productions is highly respected. His keen perception and mature judgment are qualities which will undoubtedly lead him to future success. Chuck is a model all future seniors should strive to emulate and his value to the Senior Class can not be effectively stated in mere words. TREASURER JIM JUST A fiercely competitive perfectionist, Jim is one of the hardest- working most efficient people at Cretin. ln constant demand because of his tremendous energy, initiative, and organizational ability, Jim. though always pressed for time, has always managed to make a success of everything he has undertaken. For four years Jim has been active in every phase of school activity. As a speed merchant in track, an editor on the Comment, an executive in student government, and a star in the classroom. Jim has contributed more to the class and to the school than can be expected from anyone. An inspiring leader, Jim organized and directed a great many Class of '61 activities. His take-charge ability and dynamic leader- ship were in great part responsible for realizing the class goal of overall excellence. Straight forward, enthusiastic, personable, Jim is popular with all classes. His sincerity and sense of values make him admired and respected by all with whom he comes into contact. His many accomplishments and his fine leadership earn for Jim the gratitude of the Class of '61 and of the entire school.
