.gn vs if wp.. enicvz Secretary Paul A. LaMere There are always a few key in- dividuals who make or break a graduating class. One of the major influences working for the good of the Class of '59 has been Paul La- Mere. His accomplishments have been in the fields of dances, drives, school spirit, and anything else that needed a push. Paul has always been around to give the necessary pat on the back or a kick a little bit lower. The Senior Class thanks Paul for his services. Treasurer John C. Demma A general's voice and appearance, a handshake's friendliness, and a pauper's President William J. Cosgriff The Senior Class is fortunate to have in its possession an efficient friend machine called Bill Cosgriff. The dictates -of this machine have been adhered to because of personal affection for its workings, rather than because of fear of its authority. This machine has to be efficient because its owners require more foot-pounds of work per calories of heat than the United States Navy requires of its rockets. The A school has to rejoice because the machine has passed its required standards. Vice-President George G. Schmid People, by their nature, are in the habit of looking up to George Schmid, the veep of the Class of '59. Garge is one of the most dynamic personalities ever to wield a big club at Cretin. He has con- tradicted the old theory that a iob does not get done if a person lets George do it. lf the theory existed that a person's leadership ability varied directly as his height, George would certainly qualify as affirmative proof. rf.. humility -these are the ingredients of a John Demma sandwich. This type of refreshment has always been available both to the underclassmen and to the seniors, many of whom were fortunate enough to make it their daily diet. So the Class of '59 has naturally chosen this vitamin-packed victual as one of their leaders in eating up their high school at Cretin.
