Since that time, George has distinguished himself as an outstanding leader in scholas- tic, military, and social affairs. Active in practically every facet of school life, George has earned the reputation of being capable of handling any situation. Confident of this trait, many students seek George's opinion on matters ranging from trifies to morals. Georgeis advice is valued highly by his fellow students, many of whom model them- selves on him. After being elected president of his advisory for two years, George was elected Secretary of the Senior Class. He was also honored at the Christmas Assembly when he was given the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and command of the Third Battalion of the Cadet Corps. George has given the Class of 1958 leadership that was highly valued, humility that was inspiring, friendship that was appreciated, and a smile that cannot be forgotten. TREASURER Terrence Cummings To the undcrclassmen, Terry Cummings is known mostly as an athletic giant who starred in football and basketball, but to the Seniors, Terry is more than a foot- ball star-he is also a friend. Yvell-known to all the Seniors, Terry is as well-liked off the Held as hc is feared by opponents on the field. A scholastic star as well as an athletic one. Terry has learned to mix studies with athletics and be a success in both. He has won the merit medal for four years in a row while maintaining a HBH average. ln athletics, Terry was honored by being appointed to the Prep World Jun- ior All-American Football Team. Terry was elected an advisory oflicer for four years, and he has been a class officer for the past three years. Seem- ingly quiet in his role at Class Treasurer, Terry has per- formed his duties efficiently and well. idealistic, and always an asset to Cretin, Terry will have no trouble attaining success in later life. qv' s
