1 The express purpose of Cretin High School and its faculty is to develop their boys mentaliy, morally and physically. This purpose explains in part the extensive eFforts put forth by the teachers in educating Cretin students. Although the five phases of life at Cretin - Religion, Social, Activities, Athletics and Mili- tary-are distinct, they all serve to develop a well-rounded Christian Gentleman. The reason for publishing the Cretinite is to recapture some of the highlights-successes and near- successes-in the varied life of the typical Cretin cadet. It maybe a source of encouragement for the underclassmen and a means of keeping bright the happy memories of the seniors.
