The Freshman class started their high school career by electing Anita Anderson, Fred Stei- ber, and Dorothy Schaeftlein as their Student Council representatives. Their homeroom spon- sors were Miss Horton, Mrs. Brischke, and Mr. Helme. They had a Christmas party and spon- sored a Bunny Hop in March. The Freshman candidate for Homecoming Queen was Caro- lyn Eckman. During the year the class lost Ruth Mellender, Nancy Thomas, Shirley Zeilenga, Raymond Macieizak, and Bob Bennett, but gained Raymond Nilles, John Reavley, Robert Hartgrave, Margarette Dietz, Don Frese, Joe Yoursis, and Barbara Jessop.
