SOPHOMORES On September 6 1938 forty four green froth tlmxdly ventured x 1th1n the portals of the Crete H1gh School They reahzed at once that they must get things orgamzed 1f they wished to go anywhere so they athered and chose class offxcers nammg Travls Stennmg presldent QJCHBVICYC Robson vlce presldent and glvmg Ben Macxanello the task of keepmg the records and fxnances straxght Then they started the ball rolhng Partles were held scholastlc records were made Then the freshles gave an assembly before the Cl'ltlI'6 student body to show that they really had somethlng When the lowly freshmen returned as exalted sophs 1n September 1939 elght had dropped by the wayslde but the arrlval of a new member ralsed the class to 36 the biggest and best 1n school They declded to elect new offlcers g1v1ng Bob Snoeberger the chalr Olof Llndberg the uce presldency and Ethel Hon the ever necessary Job of keeplng tab on the records and the money The sophs are to be seen 1n actlon all over the school Yon hall guard IS a sophomore sophs on the bucket team sophs ln the orchestra -on the student councxl 1n all the actlvltxes The sophs agam had a chance to show thelr talents when they gave an all school assembly a bunco and card party and a dance Norma Jean Peterson Really Cyrll Blackwell Yes You have such a cold stare Warren Gerstenkorn Your teeth are hke pearls LIRFJOPIC Mason And who lS Pearl?
