U Oqflpzaciafion MRS. EMILY KENT MANVILLE Mrs. Emily Kent Manville was a Crete teacher for twenty-three years, eighteen of which, 1887- N05, she was principal of Crete High Svhool. Mr. A. A. Reed said of her: lt was a revelation of the power of u personality to witness her work in the class room and in every phase of school life. She was at remarkable instructor, giving every topic the magic touch of inspiration. Kceping fully ahreust of educational thought and progress, her splendid preparation, rich experi- ence and mature judgment rendered her a most valuable member of the teaching corps. Her deep sympathy with young life not only hound the pupils to her with an affection that was the life of the school but also reacted upon her, keeping her young in spirit.
