TRUE Superintendent 1885 - 1886 . Mr. M. B. C, fl'rue was a lawyer. As president of the board he was given the title of Superintendent for the year 1380-31. He received 3120.00 for visiting the schools one day each month and reporting to the school board. However upon the resignation ol Mr. Healy in 1885 Mr. True had all the duties as well as the title of Superintendent for the year 1885- 86. In 1881 block 158 on Eleventh Street was bought for 3825.00 Owing to the increase in enrollment a new building scorned necessary and more economical than renting the academy. In 1882 the first High School, a frame building was built on block 158 at n cost of 63,174.60 and used until 1890. It has been moved to Thirteenth Street and is known as the City Hall.
