'91 The 1956 season got off to a good start. Practice was uneventfulg the big problem was in getting enough players for fullscrimmage during the first two weeks of practice. The first real scrimage work the team had was at the Jamboree. Creswell was defeated in their quarter of the Jamboree but the com- ment of the coaches was that Creswell was the best hustling team present. As the season progressed, more men turned out. The team did fairly well in the first half of the season, winning three out of five games. Then toward the middle of the season, players began getting hurt quite regularly. At one time there were three players of the starting team out with injuries. The 1956 Basketball season wasn't exactly a perfect one in the winning department as we were stressing sportsmanship.
