- CRESTVIEW JR. HIGH GLENCOE,' MO. 1984-85 Volume 18 The 1984-85 yearbook holds memories of yesterday, But they are not just held in words and ways, The pictures are what make thoughts stay. The classes make the school number one But after all is said and done, Everyone gathers round, To see what new friends they've found, And reminiscing with friends of old, They notice friendship is silver and gold. Look on these few pages and you will see, Old friend, new friends, wisdom is the key 1 To help us achieve whatever may come our way! We, the freshman class of 1985, leave to the privileged 7th and 8th graders the crowded halls and buses, the gym lockers and the cafeteria food. e NR A X i c 2 During the science rock field trip last May, the students pictured above collected as many different kinds of rocks as time would allow. Now they are ninth graders, but they will never forget this day. 6 Marti Brand watching Regina Wright help herself to some Nathan Mertz thinks, live seen it before, but how do you do it? candy in science class. Students learn many worthwhile lessons while striving to achieve in a team situation. All Crestview teams put a lot of effort into this year's season, and whether they won or lost the game, they definitely won when it came to being a better person for playing. Games can bring a certain amount of glory to an individual player or even a whole team, but during practice hard work is the answer, and lots of it. Our teams put forth much effort and they are to be commended. Jerry Brenning goes for another point. Bob Dana makes a quick dodge to safety. Football players gather for yet another game. For many, it is very different from their old schools with switching Classes and dressing out for gym, plus it is much, much bigger. For 8th graders, it is a reunion with their good buddies. It's back to the old grind with more homework, more tests, midterms, and finals. But over all, most everyone is excited about the new school year. , Sherryl; Albrekcht 2.2mm . They stayed busy all year providing many activities for students both during the school day and at night. The effort of preparing a daily lesson, grading homework, devoting time to a special school organization and attending professional meetings takes up much of their time beyond the school day.
