We remember, however, the vital role he has played in shaping our young lives, From him we have acquired many of our superior attitudes, beliefs, and human values that will influence our future success and happiness. Last year the band participated in the Apple Blossom Festival in Winchester, Virginia, and spent a day sight-seeing in Washington D. C. During the 1957-58 season the Bulldog Band participated in the Florida Sixth District Band Festival held at Port St. Joe. They received a Superior rating in marching and sight reading and an Excellent rating in concert, Five soloists represented our band at State Band Festival held in Tallahassee and re- ceived two Superiors and three Excellents. The band also sponsored a Clinic Day last year. All bands from our surrounding towns took part and thor- oughly enjoyed the day. Professors from Florida State University and professional musicians directed the sectionals and the concert band. This year the band is under the capable direction of Mr. Louis Lindsay. Again this year the band will participate in the Sixth Dis- trict Band Festival which will be held in Quincy during the month of March, The band also gives concerts at various schools in the county. Clinic Day, which the band will attend this year, will be held in Choctawhatchee. This always provides useful learning and much enjoy- ment. MEMBERS: C, Albright, B. Barefield. LP. Barnhill, E.
