CLASS HISTORY Four years ago one brrght September mornrng a bewrldered group of Freshmen started thexr trel toward graduitron We eouldn t rmagrne how we had managed to get thrs far Mrs Brown Mrs lerchbourg and Mr Mrller eased the bumps of Ih1S year for us For the ftrst trme we were separated guls takrng Homemakrng boys takrng beneral Scrence W almost learned to eook whrle the boys drd learn a few screntrfrc trrcks Durrng thrs year we went to many partres football and basketball games and Oh yes we started elatrng Durrng our Sophomore year we were krcked along oyer the rough spots by Mrs Stafford Mr Elmore and Mr Krekule We studred bugs bones and mrcroscoprc anrmalsl Ugh' In brology of course Thrs was the year some of our upper classmen were selected as members of the Beta Club A large number we are proud to say Several of our glrls served as wartresses at the Junror Senror Prom One of the events whrch saddened most of us was the burnrng of our old burlelrng Our spurts were lrfted however when we drscovered that we were to move rnto a new modern one Ln our Juntor year we had Mrs Majors Mrs Ezell and Mr Johnson to lrsten to our problems snuggle frlled year He left us to go to Washrngton as a Page and hrs dutres were carrred out by Bea Steele for the remalnder of that year To BSSISI our presrdent we had Bob Crosby Vrce Presrdent Thelma McFarland Secretary and Ruth Evans Treasurer We sponsored the football dances Homecomrng Parade and Dince and a turkey shoot to help us wrth our frnances The day we ordered our class rrngs we felt that we were nearrng the door to becomrng Senrors Thrs was the year we took the Senlors Out of Space w1th the help of a sophomore robot Some of us poor souls took Chemrstry and caused qurte a b1t of confusren w1th the odors and mrnor explosrons that came forth from the lab As drgnrfled Senrors we had 'vlrs Moore and Mrs Stafford to lead us gallantly on to vrctory Also helprng us to attarn thrs goal were Ruth Evans class Presrdent Bettre Mane Stevens Vlce Presrdent Ruth Kadenhe ad Secretary Eugene Flemrng Treasurer Thrs was our happrest year for we were then the honored students of the school We were looked at wrth envy and awe Thrs year we publlshed the annual presented Here Comes Charlre and decorated the Senlor float for homecomrng Our float won ftrst prrze We really felt that we were reachrng our goal when we had our prctures made rn cap and gown and ordered our rnx rtatlons The three most outstandrng events that occurred close to the end of school were Class Day Baccalaureate and Commencement where we recerved those long awarted drplomas 06006 11. no 0' ff Z f lip if le , aw s- .
