The junior and senior members conducted tI1e cere- monial work in a candlelight ceremony. Ten new members were inducted into the society. Standards for the National Honor Society are high. The student must maintain a l.5 or B average during his high school career, and must also be rated on the qualities of character, service, and leadership. Provisional members who continue to qualify by maintaining these standards may be elected to permanent membership in their senior year. 119
