We hope, as you look at the story of Creston in 1956 as told in your SAGA, you will spend many happy hours in reverie - re-living parties, plays, athletic contests - but, most of all, remembering friends. Again, this is your book. You, the people - your clubs -your social life-your activities -we have tried to cover it all. :Y

Believing he combines the wisdom, the tolerance, and the love for learning necssary to a good fteacher with the sense of humor and the friendly manner essential for fostering friendships with young people, the Staff of the 1956 .SAGA wishes to dedicate its efforts to Mr. John A. Row-ell, teacher and friend. Mr. Rowell ca-me to Creston in 1954 as a teacher in the English department. He has made himself an important part of the school with his teachingg his work as adviser of the school newspaper, the ECHOg and his technical direction of many of the school's theatrical productions. Bu-t even more important to those of us who have become his friends, we have been influenced by his everfpresent desire to combine the spirit of truth with the spirit of fr-eedom. As Mr. Rowell leaves Creston we of the SAGA staff wish to express our feelings by quoting from Henry Adams: A teacher affects eternityg he can never tell where his influence stops.
