The year of ,49 brought into the spot- light the fad of steadies with sweaters alike, such as Dick Beckwith and Oleta Kauffman in the upper left picture. Short haircuts were something that hit Creston with a slash this year. In the upper right hand picture youill find The Barbershop Quartettef' A revival of the yo-yo trend came about this year. The picture at center right shows a group of boys demonstrating their great talents! Not only the boys are talented. In the bottom left hand picture we see rivals.
