Studying all types of music, the girls sing in quartets or trios each month to gain in independence. lt is from these small groups that members for the second choir are selected. Although this is a vocal music organization, it is in the form of a club headed by Eleanor Barnes, president. Other officers are Betty Simons, vice- presidentg and Dorothy Jackman, secretary. Eighty seven voices comprise the newly organized Second Choir. This choir is more than a preparatory organization for the first choirg it is .1 group that works by itself and is capable of taking part in con- certs alone. Members of this choir are recruited from the boys' and girls' glee clubs. They must have registered in glee club and have had some training there. Those who are capable of singing in an advanced group are then selected and placed in the second choir. The second choir made its debut in the annual spring concert with the selections, Ave Marie , by Rachmaninotf, and Land of Hope and Glory , by lflgar.
