FOREWORD We have chosen for our theme thrs year Outerspace Adventures We shall leave our own lrttle Solar System Creston Hrgh School and zoom out among the stars rn order to tell of our past years actrvrtres Stand by as we prepare to take off wrth our latest space equrpment The energy for the take off comes from the Sun our admrmstratcon and school board But who wrll help us get our ret set and on our way? Ah yes the planets the faculty whrch revolve about our Sun there rs the answer Perhaps they wrll help us If we can get to Tuprter or Mars we can refuel and then take off agarn Here we go out among the Stars the students of sur Great Unrverse They are lrke small pornts of lrght rn the nrghtkeach wrth rts own place rn the Heavens each sheddrng rts lrght rn outer space - F G A V-TIMINLJ' Let us journey down the Milky Way and take a gIimps6..xag.iJur Solar 'Q years We see Queen Andromeda and her court shrnrng brrgh as they rergn over the stars at Homecomrng Then there are the athle shoot rng stars and comets whose unequaled sportsmanshtp frlled r years wrth actron and excrtement The band and vocal musrc departments Q us many pleasurable moments frlled wrth atmospherrc harmony and the many other Solar actrvrtres kept us busy and rnterested As we senrors complete our frnal year we wrll be leavrng the Creston Hrgh Solar System and wrll be travelrng rnto outer space to meet the challenge of thrs Great Unrverse to frnd our own posrtron rn the vast unknown DEDICATION lt rs wrth a srncere feelrng of gratrtude and apprecratron for hrs nrne teen years of servrce that the Crest Staff of T957 dedrcates thrs annual to a most deservrng and devoted faculty member Mr Lewrs Jones vocatronal agrrculture rnstructor Many of us have come rn contact wrth Mr Jones as he has grven so freely of hrs trme and knowledge to help us durrng our school days He arded us rn solvrng many an agrrcultural problem but rt made lrttle drf ference whether we were members of hrs farm management or crops and sorls classes He always seemed so very rnterested rn all of us He has drrected the actrvrtres of the Future Farmers Assocratron at Creston for the past nrneteen years and wrll always be rdentrfred wrth rt Hrs name has not only been placed on the Scroll of Honor rn the Teachers Hall of Fame of Iowa but also rs well known rn the Creston Communrty lt rs wrth deep regret that we see hrm retrre thrs May, but we would lrke to wrsh hrm the best of everythrng rn hrs future undertakrngs
