A class of very inexperienced, green freshmen entered C. H. S. in
the fall of l945. Now this group of well-mannered WD students can
hardly be associated with the freshmen of two years ago. This year the
juniors showed athletic ability with many of their members on both the
football and basketball teams. The number of juniors in band and choir
proved their interest in the field of musicg their acting ability was
quite successfully demonstrated in the Junior Class Play and the All-
School Play. The junior class, with these achievements in its past, is
quite capable of accepting its place as the seniors of '47.
The seniors are Nlords and mastersu of C. H. S., the juniors are
associated with the Junior-Senior Banquet, the freshmen are Wlittle,
green freshmen,n but the sophomores just go to school whether they like
it or not! The sophomores invaded both the field of music and the ath-
letic arena. This class should be complimented on the excellent manner
in which they worked together.
Gee, we're at last in high school! This was the enthusiasm ex-
pressed by one hundred and eight freshmen until they discovered that
high school could mean only one thing--work! In a year the freshmen
class has shown much progress as many of them are outstanding, with
musical, dramatic and scholastic ability. Some of the freshmen boys,
as well as upper classmen, have found that their ability lies in ath-
letics. The freshmen proved to be a quite talented group and will
undoubtedly be a credit to Creston High School when they graduate.
