l...-..s IME Altllfiliflm - Junior Class Histor Dear Friends: I know you want to hear about our classfthe famous class of '33 -so I will try to give you just a few facts as to our history. We entered high school in September 1929. Imagine fortyfseven green freshies wandering through the halls! And how we hated those names of green and freshie. Evelyn Wright was our president and for class advisor we elected Miss Studer who was a faithful help in all our difficulties. Everyone settled down to hard study which was interrupted occasionally by welcomed vacaf tions. We succeeded in mastering the hated exams and thus were raised to the counted name of Sophomore. The beginning of our Sophomore year is remembered because of the delightful party given us by the Seniors at Shaw's Woods. To show our gratitude we gave them a return party at Hawk's Woods. This second year our class was efficiently presided over by Carl Pinkley with the assist' ance of Miss Alsdorf as advisor. Melbourne Ecker brought glory to our class by distinguishing himself on the debate team. The year of study, friendliness, and activity passed at last and now we have gained the higher rank of Juniors. We occupy the center section of study hall and fill up quite a goodfsized space as we have a membership of fortyfone. Everything started off fine this year and everyf body's happy. Bob Schlegel is president and Miss Mcllvaine is class advisor. We haven't had so many parties this year but the few have been unusually enjoyable. Of course we were glad of the privilege to initiate our sister class, the freshmen. We were disappointed that we didn't get to publish the customary Monday Blues but finally became reconciled. We have had one especially blue day this year and that was when the class sweaters ar- rived. We were mighty proud of those blue sweaters with their large white numeralsf l933. Our class has been represented this year in baseball, basketball, and debate. Now we are planning our class play, I Will, I Won't, and with our talent, I'm sure it will be a huge success. Yours until next year. Maacsaaiir E. Durr. Nicknames Dorothy Landes ....... .......... ' 'Dot George Smith ..,...... ...... ' 'Georgy Pauline Knecht ..,..... .....
