Here teachers become well-versed in the ability to operate the emergency brake while suppressing screams of terror. Students, mean- while, become exceptionally skilled in the ability to frustrate and petrify the teacher at every inter- section. At the end of a semester's driving course, however, students conduct themselves as seasoned veterans of the highway, much to the satisfaction of the pedestrians of San Bruno.
