CLASS 8 Seniors The Seniors of 1956 have had an exceptionally busy year, two projects have meant a great amount of work for everyone--publication of the annual and planning for a class trip. The school's oldest group also held several dances and sold candy to raise money for their treasury. To guide the class in its final year was the lot of Miss Miller and Mr. Hutson. The class chose Bill Horning, pres- ident, Catherine Krichbaum, vice-president, Norma Long, secretary, and Emogene Croft, treasurer. Juniors The Juniors were hard at work to raise funds for the Reception. Leading this class were Larry Simmermacher, president, Marilyn Horning, vice-president, Jack Harbaugh, secretary, and Pam Eckert, treasurer. Their fund raising activities included selling C.H.S. emblems, school memory booklets, and admissions to the dances that were held after the home athletic games. Faculty advisors were Miss Griebling and Mr. Walrath. Sophomores Sophomores, those wise fools, led by president Sharon Sigars, vice-president Jim.Mahek, secretary Nancy Linn, and treasurer Judy Harbaugh, were counseled by Miss O'Leary and Mr. Hackman. The focal point of this class' activities was the Sophomore Hop, annually held after the Junior-Senior Reception. Freshmen The Freshmen, newcomers to the opportunities of a high school education, had good advice from Mrs. Varga and Mr. Flynn. Officers were: Roger Ruhe, president, Inez Solinger, vice-president, and Carole Yost, secretary-treasurer. Eighth Grade A Christmas Party was the highlight of the year for the Eighth Grade. Mrs. Enoch and Mr. Grace helped Robert Fisher, president, Jackie Berger, vice-president, Linda Conn, secretary, and Susie Eckstein, treasurer to manage the class affairs. Seventh Grade A very active Seventh Grade elected Teddy Hines president, Sharon Hyler vice-president, Connie McMichael secretary, and Libby Sawyer treasurer, to supervise the year's events--a Christmas party, 1 , sffwopr XZ Z i X. 1 ,Q JWm,2f7 fa Z 4, 1 'YW K !,m,,,!ff, 029 Qs X, W ad gg! ffm f A as f 'Z aus ' Y' AWIMYH, 'ii' a Spring party, and the saving of sales tax stamps for the purchase 'WW7 of a record player--was the duty of Mrs. Amos and Mr. Clouse.
