History Of The Senior Class The class of 1956 started its journey through C.H.S. in 1950 as lowly Seventh Graders. Our officers were Ted Sawyer, President, Bob Cain, Vice-President, and Catherine Krichbaum, Secretary-Treasurer. We thrilled to our first big event--a class party. Advisors were Mrs. Varga and Mr. Flynn. We then went on to the Eighth Grade where we elected Bob Cain, President, Bill Bauer, Vice-President, and Suzanne Enoch, Secretary-Treasurer. This ended two glorious years in Junior High School. Mr. Flynn and Mr. Hutson were our advisors. In our first year in high school we elected Larry Palmer, President, Sally Exenkamper, Vice-President, Bob Ruhe, Secre- tary, and Bob Cain, Treasurer. Big business made its appear- ance in our career when we sold Bulldog emblems. We lost one of our beloved class-mates when Beverly Steele passed away. Advisors were Miss O'Leary and Mr. Flynn. As Sophomores we found that we still had a lot to learn, we received much experience from conducting Sock Hops, the Sophomore Hop, and by waging a magazine drive with Sandra Clutter and Ted Sawyer as Captains. The teachers who helped us this year were Miss Griebling and Mr. Flynn. Our officers were Larry Palmer, President, Ruth Hensley, Vice-President, Catherine Krichbaum, Secretary, and Peggy Linn, Treasurer. The Junior year meant one important project--the Recep- tion. For the big Job the class chose Larry Palmer, President, Ted Sawyer, Vice-President, Sandra Clutter, Secretary, and Ruth Hensley, Treasurer. Advisors were Mrs. Neff, Mrs. Palmer, Mr. Flynn, and Mr. Hutson. The class was deeply saddened by the passing away of another of our class-mates, Helen Fetters. For its last year the class selected Bill Horning Presi- dent. He is assisted by Catherine Krichbaum, Vice-President, Norma Long, Secretary, and Emogene Croft, Treasurer. Miss Miller and Mr. Hutson are our advisors. For the first time in several years this class has undertaken two immense projects-- publishing an annual and taking a class trip. J.E. PHOTOGENIC SENIORS I new H iw. Hv'fHf WILLIAM BAUER DIANA COUNTERMAN It should be noted that Mr. George Hoxie, F.P.S.A. Master Photographer, of Oxford, Ohio, was an impartial and unbiased judge since he was not ac- quainted with any of the persons whose pictures were submitted to him. In all fairness to everyone concerned it was necessary that the judging be done by photographs. All seniors were eligible. Due to lack of time the two pictures were selected in Columbus and then forwarded straight to the publisher. Therefore, the judge's choices will be a surprise to everyone, including the editor, the staff, and the winners. The School R LXR-Rqlk XX Fs.gw-a K X , -nam. 1 -X .C A ay? , w tk. Q, IF? 32
