Qlirf Henna: ' GIRL sassavfs The Girl Reserves, consisting of fifty-five members, is made up of girls from the Senior High School. 1 ' The Club 1s,connected with the Young Women's Christian Associa- tion. The name Girl Reserves means Wa reserve force of the Y.W.C.A., and keeping in reserve the qualities which will help a girl in her school and community.n The insignia of the Girl Reserves is a blue triangle with the letters G.R. inscribed within. The base of the triangle represents Spirit, and its two sides represent Knowledge and Health. The object of the Girl Reserves is to help girls form good habits, insights, and ideals. ' The theme uOpen Windowsn was selected for the year 1943-1944. The object of the Girls Athletic Association is to develop good sportsmanship, to promote good fellowship and sports, and to cultivate a healthy mind by proper living and beneficial exercises Miss Jane Pease is advisor of this organization and the officers elected for the year 1943-1944 were: Norene Harley, president, Marcine Earner, vice-presidentg and Norma Gilchrist, secretary-treasurer. Horene Harley and Marcine Harner resigned their offices of president and vice president, due to the fact that they became employed and could not do justice to the offices to which they had been elected. To fill these vacancies Virginia Lightburn was elected president, and Priscilla McCaffrey was elected as vice-president.
