WILLIAM LINDEMAN Chiropractor Storm Lake, Iowa Sac City, Lowa PIRA TES CO VE 1963jU IOR-SE IOR PROM The Junior class of Crestland High School presented PIRATES' COVE in the Nemaha gymnasium, Friday evening, April 26, 1963. The gym was decorated with black and silver streamers giving the effect of entering a cove. On the east wall was a huge mural with pirates at work. The thrones for the queen and king were placed at the south end of the gym with the words PIRATES' COVE written above the thrones. The band shell was also deco- rated with black and silver streamers with soft blue lights giving a romantic effect. The guests arrived at six o'clock and were served a delicious meal pre- pared by the junior mothers. The welcome, Pirates We Salute You, was given by master of ceremonies, Mike Brockman. Mike Lincoln, senior class presi- dent, then read the senior class will followed by the Treason and Mutiny -- the senior class prophecy. The speaker for the banquet was Mr. Edgar Kugler of Buena Vista College. The Bold Pirate, Mr. Kuger, was very entertaining. Other entertainment for the evening was provided by the Stowaways --the waiters and waitresses. The waiters and waitresses were selected from the sophomore class. The evening was completed with the dance. The music was quite modern but everyone, including the teachers, had a wonderful time. 58
