Um Jhmuz We take a million steps from first grade to graduation, so our shoes are as important to us as our books and pencils. Stout clod-hoppers, sturdy oxfords, neat flats, stylish suedes, gay bal- lerinas, smart high heels, and comfortable loafers take us everywhere we need to go for learning and fun. An athlete without his spikes would be helpless. A girl without her saddle shoes would not be hep. Such is our down-to-earth theme for this yearbook.

Qedllcatzbn Because she has contributed so much to creating our most cherished memories, the Class of 1953 respectfully dedicates this edition of the TOMAHAWK to our friend, guide, teacher, and adviser, Miss Barbara Lang. Under her excellent leadership and untiring energy, we have successfully completed our four years in Cresson High School. Miss Lang understood our problems and helped us meet them. She was a capable and efficient adviser. We shall long remember and value the guidance given us by Miss Lang. A Friend A Guide
