.iembfm y Iames McCartney, president: Phil Sheridan, vice-president: Tommy Lang, secretaryg Ed Weaver, treasurerf Mr. Francis Salony, adviser. The Senior Class opened an eventful year with the Pigskin Prances each Friday night after the home football games. A follow-up of selling concessions at several football games helped to boost the treasury. A Thanksgiving Dance was held in November. Before the opening of bas- ketball season, the seniors scheduled two Topsy-Turvy dances. The girls entertained the boys for the evenings, and these dances proved to be very jovial affairs. Another senior activity was a bake sale. The senior play, A Young Man's Fancy, was a great success. There are thirteen active and faithful participants in the band, and a group of thirteen senior girls who help to create the lovely harmony of happy voices in the girls' chorus. Some of our athletes made history in sports. At the track meets, lack Vaile was outstand- ing in the high jumps. lack and lim McClure made the North Cambria basketball team, and lack was named to the All-State Class B team. Because of lim McClure's superior ability in football, he was chosen for the All-County team. A new sport just begun this year was wrestling. Albert Colian and Harry Denny have proven very satisfactory in this venture. We mustn't forget one of our girls who helped to cheer these boys on-Ioyce Maloney. Lois Diehl, Edwin Weaver and Bruce O'Malley represented Cresson High School in the All-County Band at Portage High School. Lois Diehl and Mary Ellen Boland were chosen to at- tend District Chorus at Punxsutawney.
