The character of CHS is reflected in its publications. COMMUNIQUE, the school newspaper, published eight times a year under the direction of Mr. Ieffrey Gabriel, attempts to bring newsworthy activities to light and to focus student attention on current school problems. Providing a lasting memory of CHS is IMAGES, the yearbook. Mrs. Kathleen Scanlan, the faculty men- tor, guides the various staffs through the year-long project of pro- ducing a yearbook which includes all phases of school life. Emphasizing the creative abilities of the students, the school literary magazine OPUS includes original aft work as well as poetry and prose. Published each spring, OPUS is un- der the guidance of Miss Anita Wag- ner, art coordinator, and Mr. Ed- ward Rupp, literary advisor. BELOW: Sally Wilts, editor-in-chief of COM- MUNIQUE, discusses editorial policy with jean Dessart, editorial editorg Kathy Pressler, assist- ant sports editorg Carol Rengstorff, sports edi- torg Lisa Feigelis, feature editorg and Sharon O'Toole, news editor. i ii...-if TOP: jay Schauer, editor-in- chief of IMAGES, decides on page design.
