JV, freshman basketball players develop skill The highlight ol? the .lunior Varsity season came with the team's 67-6-l double overtime upset win over Park Ridge. Coach john Quinn rallied his forces from a twenty point deficit in order to gain vic- torv. In a year of both excite- ment and disappointment, this victory stood out as the team's high point in a season which included nine Wins and twelve losses. Coach George VanWagenen's freshman team compiled a record of seven wins and seven losses. 25

Cougars competein field and track The 1968 track team, under coaches Richard Goldman and Dom Albanese, Worked hard both as individuals and as a group to achieve a successful and exciting season. Striving to improve last year's 4-8 record, the team showed de- veloping strength in its under classmen and strong leader- ship in such seniors as run- ners Frank Krajick and Dirk Seifert, high jumper Bob Massey, and pole vaulter Dennis Farrell. 26
