Juniors and seniors found out this year that newspapers and yearbooksdon't just write them- selves. Plenty of tears, headaches, yes, and even laughter go into their publication. Words like copy, deadlines, cuts, bleeding, cropping, proofs, and thirty came to be a familiar part of their vocabularies. The Cresconian staff found that they barely got f their breath after one paper was published be- fore they were already planning and writing for the next one. The publication of the ' 4 monthly paper required the cooperation of all members- whether the job was writing, copyreading, selling ads, proofreading, or photo- SIHDUY- X Editor: Mary Jo Gitchell E Business Manager: Gelene Mary Jo hard at work. El Circulo Espanol Stimulated Interest How do you say, 'I'll be a dirty bird,' in Spanish? Are South American young people allowed any frwdom nowadays ? The Spanish Club finds the answers to these questions and many more, for its pur- pose is to provide opportunities for Spanish thinking in a social atmosphere and also to investigate further Spanish life and language. Members obtained names of Spanish-speaking young people for correspondence, held several parties in the homes of members at which they concocted Spanish recipes, including some pretty hot chile, pre- sented an assembly skit, They Aln't Done Right by the Locker Room Smell, and sponsored a Teens for Polio Valentine dance.
