Who-0-.ol Who-o-o! To whom? To you, Idear readers, we bring the 1950 Spartan with the hope that it 'may -serve as -a pleasant reminder of your days in Cresco High School. As freshmen we were like the lamb, meek, as sophomores, like the lion, rproud and anxious to be on our way. In our junior year We were like the fox, cun.ning in our ways and alert to our oppor- tunities. eAt last we h-ave reached our senior year and have become like the eagle, soaring toward greater heights in achieving our goals and realizing our ambitions. We, the 1950 Spartan staff hope that The Spartan will bring you happy reminiscences of your high school days. 1,1 M32- INTRODUCTORY fif 'f' A A ,ltxfjff fvq 44? Z7 .f Q7 Z!! THE SPARTAN 'tThe Spartan, your annual, is edited and published by a staff of seniors and juniors, who -have striven to produce a Spar- tan oi' highest quality, which recounts the various organization activities of the year 1949-50, and which We trust, may serve as a cherished reminder of high school days. Producing the HSpartan required many long, hard hours of earnest endeavor, but for the conscientious editor, Evelyn Sobolik, and her staff of associates: the business adv-ertising, and sales managers: Mary Lou Henkes, Peggy Searcy, and Jeanette Marshall, respectively, the feature chairman, Arlene Fountain, the art chairmen, Nancy Craig and Clara Jean Shafer, the task was not all work, because there was enjoyment connected with each task and there is satisfaction and pleasure in seeing a job well done. Miss Margaret M. Althouse is sponsor of the group. 26 ,, . . ..11 1 - 1 CRESCONIAN 11l1'111'1'N1'111112I1l1S11l1'1111l1'1211 11111111111111111 11111.11.S., 1111111is111-11 111111 1-1111111111-11, 1111- 1:1s1 1'11'1417l-Y 1111 1.11111 1111111111 1'1il1'1l 1-111111111 111is j'1'I11' was Z1 six 11111r1- 111-ws11:1111-1'. 1'211'1l 111' 11'1111'11 1'1'2I11lI'1'I1 Il 1111111111-1' 111' 1111-1111'1-1: 11115111-1111115 111 1'111'11111s s1-1111111 111-1ivi1i1-s. .X1'11-111- 1 111111111i11 w:1s 1111' V1'1'j' 111-111-1111111111-, 111111-1111g11 1-.111111'g N111-11111 .X1111 111'Il1111'j', 111111 11'11s 1111' Y1'1'y 1-1'1'11'i1-111 11ss111-i:111- 1-11111113 s1-1'1'1-11 11s 11i1'1-11111111111 111111 1111si111-ss 1Il211lIlL1'l'l'.
