LUNG MAY Tl-IEY REIGN Under the direction of Miss Hazard, approximately 70 girls participated this year in G.A.A., the Girls' Athletic Association, The members of this active organization met twice a week to take part in :games ot basketball, soccer, softball, badminton and Volleyball. Officers: Connie Mayo, president, Lois Long, vice president, Marion Hoopman, secretary, Dor- othy Farnsworth, treasurer. A . l 5, I 7 No spring would be complete in C. H. S. Without the annual, and much-looked-torwardeto, May Pete. Betty Ann Evans was last spring's May Queen, and John Wilclman reigned as Lord of May. Attendants were: Seniors-Catherine Culbert and Roger Jacobson, Juniors-Martha Luehr and Donald Dvorak, Sophomores-Lois Long and Robert Cameron, Freshmen-Darlene Stevenson and Edward Murray. Presented by the grades and high school, with Miss Hazard as director, last year's festival hai the Gay Nineties as its theme.

TI-lEV'I.L FARM CHR LAND To prepare members for establishing and managing farms of their own is the purpose of the F.F.A,, a national organization which encourages leadership and project work among boys who will be farmers in the future. Directed and supervised by Mr. Schroder, the boys of the Cresco Chapter ot Future Farmers this year carried out projects in stock raising and marketing, and seed analysis. Representatives of the group attended a number of conventions during the year, and some took part in programs over Station HXEL. o Officers: Edward Morine, president, Lauren Iverson, vice president, Marvin Nygaard, secre- tary, Donald Mohs, treasurer, Marvin Hoffland, reporter, Farm Crops and Soils Class Club Officers for 1946-47 -25-. . -

Marion Hooprrian received a first at the Pre-District De- clamatory Contest. During the year C.H.S. debaters made a number of trips to argue the pros and cons ot the question, Resolved: That the Federal Government Should Provide a System ot Complete Medi- cal Care, Available to All Citizens at Public Expense.
