Back Row: Vivian Fitzgerald, Typist, Imogene Hayes, Circulation Manager, Lovene Eaton, Typistg Marcella I-lenkes, Literary Editor, Marjorie James, Features: Locl Reinhart, Art Editor. Front Row: Bernice Davis, Organizations, Frances Morris, Snapshots, Shirley Bigalk, Business Manager, Clarissa Hein, Editor-in-chief, Arlene Sobolik, Associate Editor, Florence Aebly, Photographs, Keith Thayer, Advertising Manager, David Todd, Sports Editor. These pages were put together by the persistent efforts of the Spartan Staff. We feel that we will be amply rewarded for the long hours spent around the great table in E-4, and count them as one more pleasant memory if these are faithful records of the life of Cresco High, and if, in years to come, someone, in turning the pages, finds happiness in remembering old friendships and has many a laugh at the old pictures. A Spartan is published by hard work, a great deal of discussion and chatter, and some worry. It was not difficult to find questions about which to worry. Could there be Kodak pictures with so great a film shortage? Even now we cannot be sure until we hastily turn to the last pages and see those snapshots looking much as they have looked in the Spartans of all the other years. We, the staff, are deeply appreciative to the artist, Mr. Fred Fischer, who made the drawings that illustrate the rural life theme on the division pages. NX7e are grateful for the cooperation of the teachers and the students. Although we have done our best, we well know that the book is incomplete until each person has the pages of his book filled with the silly, treasured nonsense penned by his friends, the scribbled autographs, and even an occasional ink-spot. We now give this book to you to treasure as one of the happy reminders of your high school life. The STAFF
