f rack- Forty boys reported to Coach Boyd Thompson for the 1936 traek team, F ur ot' these were lettermcn ---Byrnes. Herold, Daughenbaugh, and our star athlete. Kvam all contending for positions on the track team. The first dual meet bctxvt-en Crese' and Decorah proved to be very interesting. as the last event deeided who should be victorious, The score xvas: Decorah 6. Cresco 5. The victorious proved best only by a small margin again in a quadrangular held at Decorah the week following. between Cresco, Oelwein. Wauk n and Decorah. The score was 22, 913, 1112 and 23 respectively. An exciting Uuadrangular between Creseo. Charles City. Osage and New Hamp- ton was held at Creseo. Points scored were as follows: Creseo 41. Charles City 62. Osage 37 and Nexv Hampton 24. New Hampton defeated Crssc in a dual meet 65 2-3 to 59 1-3.
