The 1932 May Fete. celebrating the George Washington Bicentennial, was pre- sented in the form of a pageant, under the direction of Miss Mary Schmidt, and Miss Sarah Moore. Ervin Upton, as George Washington, was Lord of May, and Ruth Con- nolly, portraying the character of Washington's wife, Martha, was the Queen of May. The Girls' Athletic Association has approximately fifty members this year. At the end of last school year, five chevrons- three numerals, three scond chevrons, one third chevron, and one letter, were awarded. Approximately twice as many awards will be given this year.
