CLASS PROPHECY The Class of 1958 sat dovm to lunch on the 8th of December with mixed feel ings For the first time since they had left school they had all sat down to gather There was much to talk about so they decided that they would each take a turn at telling their story John spoke first As you know I went to college upon leaving High School, and upon graduation I joined a Missionary Association I was first sent to Borneo and recently I have been transferred to Nepal My work has been lnteresting, some times dangerous, and comparatively successful Yes, the lord has dealt kindly w h my wife and I H ve you seen the children? Here's a picture I Dale spoke up next 'I am afraid I have not led as colorful a llfe as John has, but I have done quite well last month I was elected he d of Los Angeles County Schools You know, now I will be able to buy that house trailer I used to talk about Barbara interrupted, 'Are you married yet? No , replied Dale, 'But I m en gaged Do you want to see a picture of my f1ancee?' Barbara took the picture, smiled at the pretty face wh1ch greeted her, then passed it on to John and began her story My mother finally convinced me to enter business college when I got Out I lecame a secretary and later entered the State Department About this time I mar rled, but I have successfully combined a career in the State Department with 8 happy family life My boss told me the other day that if I continued advancing at m present rate of speed, I would be the first lady Secretary of State After many hours of discussing their experiences the three flnally parted, but for many days afterwards they remembered these final words of Dale's, Let s o e our next ten years are as successful as the past LAST WILL and TISTHMENT My secrecles to go around corners to YOS1 and Jim The ice cream counter headachs's to all concerned To June, my lockers all of them T Katie, I leave my Pig Tails All my books to the green incoming Freshman I, Dale Durrwachter, being of somewhat sound mind, bequeath the following Annual annual headache to Roland Typing ability to Jim Hill My ability of talking myself out of trouble to Jack H , who really doesn't need it' My love of arguing against Fords, to Murray P Sands My ability to make up George washington to Bonnie 'I, John Corey, last reported, as to having a sound mind, will the following Fraker, my abil1ty to be on ne Honor Roll Jack Mc my old sweat socks Jack H , my abllity to get along with tne teachers Tcm Rcndeau my ability to play Basketball the next History class, my fractured History book To Steven Anderson, my locker, sprung door and all it . a - t . 4 n n 'I ' - I ' . y . ll . ll I n p .
