Here's a picture I Dale spoke up next 'I am afraid I have not led as colorful a llfe as John has, but I have done quite well last month I was elected he d of Los Angeles County Schools You know, now I will be able to buy that house trailer I used to talk about Barbara interrupted, 'Are you married yet? No , replied Dale, 'But I m en gaged Do you want to see a picture of my f1ancee?' An If har' t- SOPHOMOHES Top Row Left to right Ronnie Krieg, Sandy Farrell, Bill Hart, Sylvla Durrwachter, Jack Hart Row 2 Alice Myers, Phlllip Corey Row 5 Jim Hill, Alva Uogil Sands Row M Bonnie Carter, Dianne Durrwachter, Bill Duckett, Eleanor Corey In the Fall, the sophomores elected the following class members as offlcers Bill Hart, President Alice Myers, Secretary Jack Hart, Vice President Eleanor Corey, Treasurer Bonn1e Carter, Class Representative This year the Sophomore class held pie sales to enlarge their bank ac counts They also put on a popcorn sale whlch was very successful The Sophomore class held the Valentine's party which also proved success ful The menu for the party was Jello, potato salad, kool aid, cake, and potato chips The refreshments and games were enjoyed by everyone Thls year there are four members of the Sophomore class 1n the Torch Honor Durrwachter To be in the Torch Honor Socnety a student has to have a B or above average 1n his school work The class is certainly proud of those stu dents who are able to be in the Torch Honor Society we have two debaters in our class also They are Bonnie Carter and Sardf Farrell Bonnie is in her second year of debating and Sandy is in her f1rst year All the mascullne members of our class take part in the sports of our school One of our class members, Bill Hart, won the Most Inspirational Award and the Most Valuable Player Award in Football He also won the Most Inspir ational Award and the Most Valuable Player Award in Basketball and was he captain of the basketball team There are a good number of our class participating in band These members are Eleanor Corey, Alice Myers, Sandy Farrell, Sylvia Durrwachter, Dianne Durrwachter, Bonnie Carter, Phil Corey, and Alva QYogiD Sands Society.
