Band Director, Hr Jim Gillespie Drumers, Gail Cotton, Jerry Fix, Nancy Keno, Donna Cotton, and Deloris Harris Bass horn, Larry Stanley Clarinets, June Meier, Naomi Lerew, Wanda Perry, Janet Holt, Marvel Way, Karen Helius, Karen Bieman, Joan Ridinger, Marian Rosenau, and Sharon Raethz French horns, Harold Way, and Maxine Hansen Comets, Lorene Gowhick, Marcia Perry, Connie Hiller, Earleen Helgelien, Gloria Heier, Carol Rosenau, Domus Holm, and lynn Perry Saxophones, Betty Wilkins, Mary Stewart, Sharlyn Harris, and Gary Fisher Fluteg Ruth Ablin Baritones, Bonnie Meier and Karolyn Cowhick Trombones, Dennis Batteen, Everett Lenw, Richard Raethz, and David Ochsner The 35 piece marching-band under the direction and leadership of Hr Gillespie took top honors at Paw-Wow Day at Harem October Sth, 1957. They carpeted with five bands all of which were larger than Cresbard'e band. December 16 saw the 38 piece concert band perform at their best in a group of nine Christmas selections including such favorites aa: 'Sleigh ldde' and Bez-l1n's White Christ- The spring contest and annual concert rounded off the band year in fine style, and success in Class B competition will go on file as having been lore than satisfactory. As Hr. Gillespie said: 'He didn't fill our show eases with first place trophies in every field of our mais endeavour, but we let the other schools in our classification know we were there, awake, alert, strong, and with exhibition of sportslansh1p.'
