I' - O Dedlcatlon .......4-1' The annual staff proudly dedicates THE 1958 COME! to our Principal, Hr Elvin Scllidt This is in record of the educational service he has given Cresbard High School during the past six and a half years lie has shmm the students the many assets of a well rounded understanding of courses in Science and Mathematics, as well as giving us the advantages of his leadership outside of the classrom. It is well known that this is the 'Atomic Age' when it is more ilportant than ever to understand the concepts of Science, and Hr Scllidt has taken the re sponsibility to teach this subject to the students in Cresbard High School. Us are sure that all of this has not been done without sons :Lmonvenience on his part A nan ot his knowledge and understanding could surely be luch farther ahead in soae specialised field of en deavor in industry. First of all, we will nest the 'Control Panel' or the Faculty and Student Council of our school. From here we meet the 'Wheels' or the Senior Claes of '58, and then the 'Spokes' or the underclassnen. Our next stop is to meet our bus drivers who keep us going to school every day, our cooks who refuel us when we get hungry, and our Janitor who keeps the school building and grounds in 'top-notch' condition. After this stop we meet the future high school students, namely the Grades After this section we view a few 'snaps' of classes in session. Then we motor to the 'sparkplug' or center of school activity, namely Sports and Band From there we visit the people who are on the li brary staff, the newspaper staff, and the people who have worked so hard in order to lake this Annual possible Our next stop is to neet the students in school who have been acclaimed as the DAR candidate, Boys' Stater, and Girls' Stater who represent the school as well as the comunity. low, we go to see the people who worked on the Senior Class play We also meet the Snow Qaeen candidate who represented the ctnnity at the Snow Queen contest in Aberdeen, the Rake and Duchess who represented the school at Northern Day :Ln Aberdeen, the Carnival King and Green, and the Comet Dey King and Qxeen. They carpeted with five bands all of which were larger than Cresbard'e band. December 16 saw the 38 piece concert band perform at their best in a group of nine Christmas selections including such favorites aa: 'Sleigh ldde' and Bez-l1n's White Christ- The spring contest and annual concert rounded off the band year in fine style, and success in Class B competition will go on file as having been lore than satisfactory. As Hr. Gillespie said: 'He didn't fill our show eases with first place trophies in every field of our mais endeavour, but we let the other schools in our classification know we were there, awake, alert, strong, and with exhibition of sportslansh1p.'
