THE PRINCIPAL ' S MESSAGE Dear Crenshaw Family, I appreciate the opportunity to send a greeting at this time each year. As we approach the end of the Odyssey of Crenshaw High School in the school year 1988-89, a story of hard work, dedication to excellence in education, service to our neighbors and community, and sincere commitment to those ideals of traditions that we honor and revere, we are happy to report that this has been a good year in spite of some unfulfilled dreams and plans that are yet to be completed. Our theme, Knowledge Today; Power Tomorrow, is many faceted. One thing we must understand regarding knowledge is that knowledge of who we are makes it possible for us to become who we hope to be. This can be accomplished through the perception, enlightenment and the extensive comprehensive experience that knowledge provides. The compliment to the knowledge we gain today serves as a passport to the amount of power we will exert tomorrow, power with permission, power to right wrong; to strive to preserve the dignity of human beings, power to make possible the fulfillment of the American dream ... for all who seek it.
