All of this was Homecoming l979. Preparations for the big day began well in advance, as club members prepared their entries for the parade. A lot of time and effort went into decorating these cars. Each could have won a prize, but it was the Future Business Leaders of America that took home the grand prize trophy. In a close race, Senior Cabinet took second and the Ladies came in third. After the parade, the crowd was honored with the presence and remarks of past and present Crenshaw personnel and communityleaders fsee picture, p. 955. Our beautiful Homecoming Court was adorned by Natalie Taylor, lOth-grade princess and her escort, Prince Torrey Payne, Terri Potlongo, llth-grade princess and her escort, Prince Ernis Morris. Angela Walker and Tawanda Duck were the Senior princesses, attended by respective escorts Flanoy Garrett and Deno Roberson.
