I soon realized that it takes a special kind of person to be a Cougar. I then decided to devote my time and myself to Crenshaw, home of the mighty Cougars. As Student Body President l've tried to maintain that same kind of spirit, pride and motivation that I witnessed as a sophomore. And now more than ever I still believe that it takes someone special to be a Cougar. l've worked with the administration and student body to make Crenshaw a comfortable yet educational school. l've also worked diligently for activities that sophomores. juniors and seniors alike could actively participate in. Being The Shaw's president was not an easy job. Nevertheless. if I had it to do all again I wouldn't change a thing. Unfortunately. I couldn't meet and talk with all of you. Yet without each and every one of you the l979-80 school year would not have been the success that it was. Crenshaw, you have given me very precious memories, something no one can ever destroy. I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. And I wish all of you all the love and happiness in the world. May God bless you and yours in the future. Love always. Carole Renee Pinkney

And after these items have been chosen we have to order T-shirts, sweaters, buttons and ID cards. This takes a lot of work and plenty of time. But when 'Sl comes we will have all the important business taken care of and we'll be ready for some enjoyable games, activities and entertainment. l'm not saying all business aside, because you're never through. What I am saying is 'Sl is going to remember the past, conquer the present and prepare for the future. Because we are the best and we will style in our powder blue and black. -Koi Kennedy Junior President
