f The 102 feet long Delta Sigma Pi-Kappa Chi float arrives on pagoda. The float, too large to be in much of the parade and the campus. The Homecoming theme of Explor the Far East partially destroyed by fire, won second place in the large float was carried out with an elephant, palm trees, natives and a division. Parade marshal William Briggs makes a final check with his traffic controllers at the parade assembly point behind the Omaha Civic Auditorium. An Omaha fireman works to extinguish the fire on the Delta Sigma Pi-Kappa Beta Chi float. The fire delayed the parade and almost prevented the float from reaching the campus.
