J The President ' s Message THE graduates of 1932 are going forth from Creighton to join the ranks of those who, by their ideals, their principles, their activities, are shaping the civilization and destinies of our country. They have acquired, it is true, a certain amount of practical knowledge and practical skill which fit them to earn a livelihood and even to gain a comfortable competence, but if this is all that they have gained, Creighton has failed in its sacred function of forming youth for worthy living and the graduates themselves are going forth with but a stone when they should have been given bread. It is the hope of Creighton, however, that her graduates are going forth with the con- viction that their most valuable possession is love for the social, moral, patriotic and religious ideals for which she stands, and that the true measure of success in their lives will be gauged by their loyalty to these ideals rather than by the amount of money they may be able to garner by reason of their knowledge, skill and industry.
