'fha Creighton's Finest students were as busy off campus as they were on campus. Along with their social ac- tivities and in between numerous phone calls, individual students were pursuing development of var- ious skills and talents. Some were active in youth groups such as Boy Scouts, some in organized sports, such as football and soccer. Individual students excelled in gymnastics, karate, dancing and teaching dance classes, ice and roll- er skating, skateboarding, BMX bi- cycle racing, and swimming. These students practiced long hours to develop that Olympian at- titude, I am the best. As they racked up points, ribbons and tro- phies, each of these students helped us feel proud of them and of our- selves. They served as an inspira- tion to us. We looked on with awe at the honors they brought home.

Bobi Stant is a thirteen-year old gymnast who trains eighteen hours a week at Cymnaestrada. To win you have to have the talent and desire, but desire comes first, Bobi said. Apparently she has both talent and desire because she has won first place all around in the 1st and 3rd state qualifying meet Ju- nior Division. My favorite event is beam because I do the best on it, she stated. In Bobi's first year of competition she won lst place twice and Znd place five times in the all around category. Now that's proof of talent and desire!
