Honor Society Has Evening Ceremony This year the Honor Society altered their initiation procedure. Instead of an afternoon ceremony, they held an evening ceremony with a reception following for the members and their parents. Honor Society members are selected for scholastic excellence, leadership, service, and character. The National Honor Society officers are Kent Neumann. Band Attends Grand Island Harvest of Harmony The CHS Marching band attended the Grand Island Harvest of Harmony for the first time when it went this year. It also performed at all five football games, presenting both pre-game and half-time shows. The band also marched in the annual Homecoming parade. Some of the band students were chosen to participate in a NENAC band clinic at Randolph. The band presented a Christmas concert and presented its annual Bulldog Band Night. The band held a pre-contest recital and played several selections at Graduation. It also presented a program on Memorial Day. The concert band was the only band to receive a superior at contest in O'Neill for the second year in a row. This was the nineteenth year that the band has received a superior rating at contest. 1. TRUMPET TRIO: Patty Nielsen, Brad York, and Barb Doerr 2. Representing Creighton in an honors band at the Grand Island Harvest of Harmony are Kent Neumann and Brian York. 3. FLUTE TRIO: June Morrill.
